Criminal Records Division
The primary functions of the Criminal Records Division shall be the collection, review, control, maintenance, accountability and retrieval of offense and complaint reports as well as traffic accident reports, fingerprint cards, field interview cards and warning citations or any other type reports or documents as determined by the Agency or by law. This division is also responsible for the copying and distribution of records to the public, insurance companies, attorneys and other involved agencies. The Criminal Records Division also conducts local background checks for the public.

The Habersham County Records Division is open Monday through Friday 8:00am to 6:00pm except weekends and holidays.
The Habersham County Sheriff’s Office will work diligently in fulfilling your request for documents in accordance with the Open Records Act. As authorized by O.C.G.A. Section 50-18-71(b)(2), the Habersham County Sheriff’s Office has designated an Open Records Officer. Official requests for records under the Open Records Act must be made directly to the Open Records Officer, Miranda Kemp. Official Open Record requests may be emailed to the Open Records Officer at firstname.lastname@example.org
